Total investments in the first six months of this year amounted to HRK 17 million. The largest single investment is an investment of 6.5 million kuna in a mill and a silo system in a coffee plant. Franck continued to develop new products in line with current consumer trends with increased support for the hospitality industry.

Even in these demanding business conditions at the time of the pandemic, Franck continued to make regular investments in production facilities, IT systems and, to a lesser extent, in hospitality equipment. Total investments in the first six months of this year amounted to HRK 17 million and were financed with own funds. Franck's largest single investment this year, worth 6.5m kuna, is an investment in a coffee mill and silo system that is currently in its final stages.

"By investing in the procurement of a coffee grinder, Franck will optimize production and achieve greater capacity and flexibility in the entire coffee plant, which is important for existing production and new development projects," said Zoran Škevin, CEO of Franck's supply chain.

This year's investment also includes automation and increasing the efficiency of the final, transport packaging in the plant for the production of Franck Cappuccino and other instant products such as Franck functional coffee drinks. This is a continuation of the project to increase packaging capacity, which was launched in 2018.

In addition to these investments, this year Franck continued to develop new products in line with current consumer trends, such as Franck Ready to Go refreshing coffee drinks, while Franck Guatemala single-origin espresso was launched in the premium segment.

During the inactivity of the HoReCa channel, the network of more than 1000 locations of Franck coffee outdoors and Franck Snoogoo self-service machines with digital technology was further enhanced and supported at full capacity by professional service with a high level of service throughout the partner network.

Ahead of the reactivation of the hospitality industry, which was severely affected by anti-epidemic measures, Franck also carried out a series of preparatory activities with an effective operational model to provide full support to its partners and the entire sector. Projects continued with the aim of improving professional skills within the Franck Barista Academy with various modules of barista education added to the needs of different types of restaurants, as well as a project of regional barista competition with the aim of further development of the barista scene in Croatia and the region.
